Independent's Day - Saturday 4 July

Independent's Day - Saturday 4 July
4 July is Independent's Day, the one day a year that Australia's independent breweries collectively raise a glass to indie beer.
What does "independent" actually mean? An indie brewery is one that's small, locally-owned, and not part of a multinational. Most of the beer you see in the bottle shop is brewed by two foreign-owned giants. When you drink at an indie brewery, your money stays local, the people who made the beer are usually the ones pouring it, and someone in Adelaide gets to keep their job instead of a head office overseas.
Shapeshifter is proudly certified independent by the Independent Brewers Association. On 4 July we're opening the doors for a day that's all about good beer and the people who made it.
What's on
- Free brewery tours at 12pm and 1pm. Walk through the brewhouse with one of our brewers, see how the beer gets made, and finish with a sample straight from a tank. First in, best dressed. Get to the bar a few minutes early to grab a spot.
- $20 tasting paddles all day. Four beers from the current line-up, picked by the bar team to take you across the range.
